HOUSING ENHANCEMENT LOAN PROGRAM (HELP)

County Treasurer Jim Rokakis has found another way to make your tax dollars work for you. HELP allows homeowners in most Cuyahoga County communities to borrow money for repairing or remodeling homes at three percentage points below a bank’s market rate for home improvement loans. As of 08/24/2007, HELP has facilitated more than 6650 loans totaling over $86.5 million. The average amount of a HELP loan is about $12,000. Click here for more information.

HERITAGE HOME LOAN PROGRAM (HHLP)

Cuyahoga County’s older homes are some of the most beautiful and distinctive in the state of Ohio. They add character to neighborhoods and were built to last. To help preserve the historic character of these homes, County Treasurer Jim Rokakis, Key Bank and the Cleveland Restoration Society have teamed up to make low interest loans available to owners of these properties.
